Before getting a dog trained it is important to search and find out what options are available. The first option is to decide whether you are going to train your dog by yourself or whether you are going to hire a professional. If you decide you are going to do the training on your own then you still have to make a few choices. In order to get a better idea of how dog training works you should get an idea of what kinds of products there are or even better what kinds of schools.
In order to get your dog trained from the get go you should get your puppy enrolled in what is known as puppy preschool. This type of dog school is intended for puppies where they will learn all the basic things puppies need to know. In general puppies need to be between 6 weeks to 5 months old. The duration of these courses varies but the longest ones can last up to a few weeks. At the puppy pre schools your dog will learn basic social skills as well as how to sit down, stay at a place, and how to come when you call them.
As your puppy grows a second type of dog training school will be required. The second type of dog training is meant for the dogs that are at least 5 months old. This type of dog training is known as the basic dog training. During the basic course your dog will be thought how to properly walk on a leash, to sit sitting, to stay, to come when you call home and to heel.
After that your dog will know and understand the basic commands. At this point you might want to take your dogs training to the next level. The next level of dog training is usually a more comprehensive training of the basic commands. Here the dog is trained to stay for a longer span of time, and is also taught to follow the orders given by other people.
The intermediate dog training is a bit longer than the precious types of fog training. In the intermediate dog training school your dog will have to be at least 5 months old. This type of training will last a bit longer, approximately 8 to 10 weeks. This type of training will give your dog a better understanding of more intricate commands or review commands that the owner wishes to teach the canine.
After the intermediate dog comes the advanced dog training, Here, once again, the course is quite similar to its previous one, i.e., the intermediate dog training course, except for the fact that this time it is more detailed. Here, the dog is taught how to sit even without you in the view. This training course is about 8 to 10 weeks long, and is meant for those that have completed their intermediate training. Here, they are also trained to walk beside their owners without a leash. Moreover, it gradually prepares the dog to take the Canine Good Citizen training course. The Canine Good Citizen training for dogs is the last course. To pass this course, your dog will be taught the 10 necessary aspects.
There are other types of dog training courses you might want your dog to take. A guard or body guard course might make sense for people who need this type of dog. It all depends on what needs you have. Most people are satisfied with the basic or initial dog training courses. After that they usually take the time to teach their own dog new things. Remember, all you need to teach your dog new tricks is a dog leash and a reward occasionally when your dog performs well.

Water Damage Restoration And Carpets : Protecting Homeowners From Health Hazards
By Chris Blastoyout
This may probably be a surprise for many but a wet carpet may in fact, pose as a health hazard to many people. Do you often find yourself or a family member having the sneezing fits when passing by a certain area of your house? Have you perhaps noticed that this often happens following a water damage incident in your home, however minor?
Chances are, you or your family may be experiencing the unforeseen hazards of a wet carpet. Spare yourself from further health problems by doing wet carpet drying straight away.
Sometimes, water slowly seeping into the padding of our carpet, whether from a leaking roof or from a dripping air conditioner, will remain unnoticed especially if the amount of water is minimal. Sooner or later however, the presence of a moist carpet inside one’s house will manifest itself and you would need to implement wet carpet drying measures immediately. However, what dangers really does an unattended wet carpet bring?
Dangers of ignoring a wet carpet:
1. Allergic Reactions. Many people are quite sensitive to humidity in a room which is exactly the scenario when a wet carpet remains unnoticed for some time. High humidity inside a room lends a certain musty smell to it which could irritate some and cause allergic reactions. This could lead to sneezing, coughing, eye irritation, or in some extreme cases, difficulty of breathing. This health risk has manifested itself all because wet carpet drying was not done right away.
2. Mold Growth. More serious than sneezing and coughing, is the danger that the development of mold and mildew in the house can bring. Wet carpet drying that is not performed within 12-48 hours after the carpet actually got wet may cause problems other than a simple wet or damaged carpet. Mold growth in the home is a serious matter which needs to be attended immediately as well.
Contact or inhalation of mold spores can cause nasal and sinus congestions, rashes and eye irritation, or upper respiratory infections. Molds are especially hazardous to the extremely young and old people, pregnant women, and those with respiratory conditions and weakened immune systems.
The wet carpet drying process:
Once you are aware that your carpet is in need of immediate attention though, do not despair. The wet carpet drying process is simple enough that you can do it yourself if the damage is still minimal. First be sure to don your trusted gloves for wet carpet drying as this operation involves handling of strong chemicals or detergents.
The first thing to do is of course take your wet carpet out into a large flat area. Then using a garden hose with a strong nozzle spray, do a sweeping action on the carpet with water. Turn the carpet over and “sweep” the back part as well. To clean the carpet, use a cleaning solution made up of chlorine bleach and water.
After this, rinse the carpet thoroughly of the bleach solution, wring out as much excess water as you can, and dry your carpet completely before installing it back into your home.
