I have heard of the many parents becoming annoyed because their children were singing the Pillow Pets tune that goes, “It’s a pillow. It’s a pet. It’s a Pillow Pet.” too many time.

A mom of two children in San Diego, California was the original inventor of the Pillow Pets. The reason was that she was tired of her kids leaving their stuffed animals all around their bedrooms and the house. So she was determined she was making a stuffed toy which was also a function item. She later came up with the idea that it will be a pillow.

Because of this, she ended up setting up a millionaire dollar industry and Pillow Pets are being sold in retailers countrywide. The initial product line only had six various animals but it has now grown to over thirty various Pillow Pets. Also, complementary products including backpacks, blankets, slippers and also books were started because of the success.

Pillow Pets can be purchased in two different sizes. The large sized types are eighteen inches long while the small ones are eleven inches.
